Nomad Ray

The Nomad Ray represents a culmination of extensive design, testing, and feedback from top sidemount divers and instructors worldwide. This system boasts a sleek, ergonomic design that hugs the diver’s body snugly, offering unmatched comfort and performance. With its innovative features, the Nomad Ray caters to sidemount divers of all experience levels.

• Superfabric® Abrasion Resistant Panel – In challenging situations, the full-length abrasion-resistant “skid plate” delivers essential wear protection precisely where it’s needed. Crafted from Superfabric®, a durable, quick-drying, and slash-resistant material, the Nomad Ray is built to thrive in demanding diving conditions.
• Bungees and Belly Band – Featuring a tool-less bungee length adjustment system, the Nomad Ray allows for effortless customization. Simply adjust the length, secure with a single overhand knot, and tuck away the excess for a secure fit. The quick-adjust belly band with a custom molded bungee hook ensures a snug fit around the diver’s body.
• Rapid Adjustment – Easily adaptable to fit various body types, the Nomad Ray’s harness design can be independently adjusted for each diver. The shoulder and waist webbing can be quickly replaced if damaged or trimmed too short.
• Versatility – Designed for use with aluminum or steel tanks in any water temperature, the Nomad Ray is ideal for both beginner and advanced sidemount divers. With a 42lb lift capacity, it provides ample buoyancy for heavy steel tanks or multiple stage and deco bottles. An optional dual bladder setup offers added redundancy.
• Optimized Hardware – Featuring custom stainless steel hardware pieces, including waist transition plates, drop-down D-rings, sliding D-rings, dog bone crotch strap double D-ring, and bungee retention slides.
• Integrated Internal Weight Pockets – Accessible via a zipper on the wing’s interior, three integrated weight pockets can hold up to 5 pounds each of hard or soft weight. This design ensures minimal profile while allowing quick access for weight adjustments or trim weight additions. Padded pocket walls enhance comfort and protection for the diver’s back.
• Inflation and OPVs – Equipped with a 16″ corrugated inflation hose, the Nomad Ray offers versatile mounting options to keep the inflator within easy reach. The hose can be switched between the left and right sides based on diver preference. The system includes two pull dump/OPVs for convenient buoyancy control.
