• The Auto Closure Device (ACD) keeps the first stage inlet closed when not connected to a cylinder valve, protecting internal parts from contamination and corrosive water. It preserves lubrication, keeps the inlet filter clean and dry, and is safer for high oxygen percentages. Exceptional cold-water performance is enhanced with three anti-freeze properties: an integrated dry chamber, deep ribs for heat exchange, and an overmolded cap to delay ice formation. The Auto-Balanced feature increases working pressure to maintain optimum breathing efforts based on depth. Ergonomically shaped DIN and YOKE screws with a bi-material “Soft Grip” surface provide better grip, even with cold hands. A channeled YOKE screw prevents water retention. Specialized ACD Dust cap protects the inlet fitting and ACD system from damage. Perfectly positioned HP and MP ports ensure optimal hose routing.
• The second stage features radial openings to prevent freeflows in strong currents, widened openings to reduce peak inspiratory flow by 20%, and an overmolded exhaust cover for a “soft touch” effect. The air purge is easy to use with a wide surface area and a purge depth controller. The Comfobite mouthpiece reduces jaw fatigue and secures the second stage comfortably. The detachable and reusable mouthpiece clamp allows for quick and tool-free changes. The heat exchanger helps prevent freezing, and the air channel deflector ensures even air flow during inhalation.
