While the HYDROS system may be easily identifiable, every aspect has been carefully considered to enhance the diving experience. By creating a system based on precise geometry, we have significantly enhanced stability in the water.

We have eliminated the ‘dead zones’ that can trap air, increase drag, or impact buoyancy. Easy access to valves is ensured through a thoughtful design of the top wing. Maintaining a flat and well-trimmed position in this wing is simple, whether you are a new technical diver or an experienced diver seeking the best possible system for security and comfort.

Optimal Trim and Stability for the discerning diver

Mastering good trim and stability in the water is often the most challenging skill for new technical divers. Experienced divers want their equipment to assist them, not hinder them. The HYDROS was specifically designed so that the wing’s buoyancy aligns perfectly with the center of gravity of the gas in your twinset.

Regardless of the wing’s inflation level or the remaining cylinder pressure, the system’s trim will remain unchanged throughout the dive.

Improved Valve Shutdowns for efficiency and safety

The last thing you need when dealing with valves is a bulky wing that slows down your response to issues. Valve shutdowns and management have been enhanced by reducing the wing volume in the valve area and optimizing hose routing.

You can easily configure a neat hose layout, keeping your valves clear and easily accessible.

Enhanced Buoyancy with Reduced Drag

The smaller contour wings reduce drag and the risk of entanglement. In traditional twinset BCD designs, decreasing wing contour would mean losing overall buoyancy. Not with the HYDROS.

By minimizing the dead zone in the HYDROS from the bladder’s central part, we have reduced the overall wing contour while maintaining necessary buoyancy. A clever solution!

Comfortable Surface Positioning

Designing a wing that keeps you in a flat trim underwater while also positioning you comfortably and high on the surface is a challenge. Many designs tend to push your face underwater. In the HYDROS, the majority of the buoyancy is kept below the surface, ensuring a high and comfortable position even with a full load for deep dives.
