Description

Transforms the Canon EOS R’s TTL signal into a light signal. This allows strobes to fire rapidly according to their recycle time.
Compatible strobes: YS-D3 MKII, YS-D3, YS-D2, and YS-D1.

The mechanical specifications match those of other Optical YS Converters.

Sea&Sea has now introduced firmware to update current S&S Optical Converters in the field for YS-D3 compatibility.
To update existing S&S Optical Converters, please reach out to your local Sea&Sea Dealer or Sea&Sea Distributor.
Please be aware that the YS-110α position is repurposed on current Optical Converters for YS-D3 functionality.

The following Optical Converters, starting from October 2020, have been modified for D3 compatibility. Updated Optical Converters are identified by a “D3” designation.

Important: Following the update on existing units in the field, all Optical converters shipped after October 2020 will not support the YS-110α strobes.
