Every cylinder inspection facility knows the issue of visual and hydrostatic inspections. Draining cylinders can be a noisy process, but with the MicroMaxx filtration system, Nautec has developed an effective noise reduction system to meet safety requirements. When pressure vessels are rapidly emptied, temperatures as low as -40C or -40F can be reached. Traditional “Silencers” lack a filtration system, allowing water vapor to turn into ice crystals and potentially causing harm. By incorporating the MicroMaxx filter into a muffler or silencer system, loose cylinder particles and ice crystals can be contained, reducing the decibel rating of escaping air. The level of decibel reduction depends on factors such as the amount of air left in the cylinder and the valve air flow design.

The Nautec Silencer includes three components:

1). A cylinder connection piece – G5/8″ compatible with valves up to 300 BAR.
2). A replaceable filter element that captures airborne particulate and ice crystals.
3). A silencer pipe that connects to the cylinder.
