Our top for the heater base is created to be used as a base layer, allowing you to add more layers as needed. Whether you are ice diving in the arctic or decompressing in a Florida spring’s cavern, this shirt will provide minimal bulk to your existing dry suit setup. Crafted and sewn by DTEK in Italy using a ZeroWind® membrane, the outer shell is windproof and water-resistant. The interior is breathable and wicks away moisture from the skin, helping to prevent rapid heat loss while in the water.
Equipped with two thermal pads, each consuming 20W of power for a total of 40W efficiency. These thermal pads utilize a silicone-insulated, carbon fiber heating element instead of wire, ensuring they do not bend or short out over time. The thermal pads connect to your heater bulkhead through an o-ring sealed push-locking connector. When it’s time to wash your undergarment, the thermal pads can be completely removed through two zipper panels inside the shirt.
Heater base tops are stitched by our partners at DTEK in Italy, with final assembly carried out at our Lake City headquarters in the United States. Shirts are offered in sizes extra-small through triple extra-large. Machine wash inside-out with warm water and mild detergent, then hang to dry. Avoid tumble drying or dry-cleaning. Do not bleach. Outer shell is 95% Polyester, 5% Rubber, while the inside is 100% Polyester.
