All Dive Rite backplates are precision cut and hand-finished. This meticulous craftsmanship ensures smooth edges to prevent damage to harness or accessory webbing. The XT backplate is crafted from 11 gauge, rust-resistant 316L stainless steel, weighing 6.5 lbs (2.9kg). Divers prefer stainless steel plates for their balanced weight distribution.
The XT backplate features 11″ (27.9cm) mounting holes for standard double tank bolt kits, with adjustable tank height options. Additionally, dual 2″ slots along the center allow for single tank diving without an adapter. Various slots and holes around the edges offer versatility in mounting lights, pony bottles, and other gear. The bottom center slots accommodate crotch straps up to 2″ (50mm) in width.
