The Hydro Lite Buoyancy System is a technology-inspired, lightweight BCD for discerning single tank divers. Tailored for streamlined, warm water diving and perfect for travel, the Hydro Lite weighs only 6.2 lbs (2.8 kgs) in a compact and easily packable design. Proudly crafted in the USA using the same durable materials and hardware as the premium Dive Rite line, the Hydro Lite is built to withstand years of epic diving adventures.
Mountaineering Style Harness A mountaineering backpack-style harness ensures stability and ensures that the Hydro Lite remains as comfortable on land as it is underwater. The harness is designed to distribute the load to the hips, reducing stress on the back and shoulders. Standard 2-inch waist and shoulder webbing allows divers to customize the BCD by adding or removing D-rings and accessories. Adjustable quick-release straps and an integrated chest strap make donning and doffing the harness effortless.
For enhanced stability, the harness includes a 1.5 crotch strap. Four 2 D-rings are located on the chest and waist belt. An integrated lumbar pad, hip pads, and shoulder pads enhance comfort. Available in five harness sizes S-XXL with quick adjustability for in-between sizes.
Streamlined Aircell An integrated 30 lb lift aircell provides the perfect lift for a diver, tank, and weights while maintaining a streamlined shape. Positioned for optimal trim, the 360-degree oval shape hugs the cylinder, preventing the aircell from shifting around the tank and trapping air. The Hydro Lite features a “rapid exhaust” power inflator assembly on the left shoulder and an over-pressure valve with pull dump on the lower left of the wing.
Extremely durable, the Hydro Lite aircell is constructed for longevity using a 600 denier polyester outer bag and a 210 denier nylon laminated inner bladder.
Dual Tank Straps For added stability, the Hydro Lite includes dual tank straps and a tank height adjustment strap. The top tank strap is Dive Rite’s 2 stainless steel non-marring roller buckle cam strap. The bottom strap is a quick-adjust hook-and-loop retainer designed to enhance tank stability while reducing overall weight.
The Hydro Lite features an integrated low-profile 12 lb weight system with quick-release pulls. By eliminating the need for additional holsters or large pull handles, the integrated weight system adds minimal bulk to the BCD. Each pocket can be quickly filled with up to 6 pounds of block or soft weight. The combination hook-and-loop and buckle retainer securely holds the weight while allowing for quick ditching in emergencies.
