Description
Hose management for sidemount diving is simplified with the Dive Rite BC Hose Quick Disconnect Adapter. If your sidemount rig’s power inflator doesn’t sit flat against your chest or is hard to handle due to the low pressure inflator hose being routed from underneath, this adapter provides the solution. By using a short low pressure inflator hose from the left side cylinder’s first stage in combination with this adapter, the low pressure inflator hose going to the power inflator can be easily connected, enabling a streamlined over-the-shoulder routing of the inflator hose. This configuration ensures the power inflator lies flat on the diver’s chest and is easier to manage. The quick disconnect fitting allows for effortless connection and disconnection of the low pressure inflator hose, similar to if it were on the power inflator.

Tips
- Low pressure inflator hose lengths used in this configuration will vary by individual diver preference. Dive Rite staff configurations typically include a 15″ LPI hose from the first stage and a 27″ LPI routed from the quick disconnect adapter to the power inflator.
- For sidemount diving, attach the low pressure inflator hose going to the power inflator before clipping into the cylinders. Adding a small bolt snap with a hose clip retainer near the adapter can help secure the hose to the ring bungee, making it easy for the diver to locate the hose even if it’s not visible.
- Secure the LPI hose, connected to the power inflator, to the corrugated inflator hose using bungee.
