North Florida cave diver, Woody Jasper, originally developed the sidewinder-style reel in the early 1980s. Known for its tangle-free design, the reel features a durable aluminum frame and PVC spool. The side-handle design allows for easy maneuverability, making it ideal for exploration activities. Our Sidewinder line of reels is engineered to prevent jams with precise machine tolerances, ensuring the line stays securely in place. The Sidewinder Cavern/Safety Reel comes equipped with 140 feet of #24 braid line (RE52140) and a medium stainless bolt snap.
